Assassin's Creed Valhalla has a reason to revisit that finished save. Ubisoft released its free The Most Requested Update on November 5, adding New Game Plus and a fresh progression push. PS5 Pro also gets an upgraded PSSR implementation. Those are two different reasons to return: one changes what you can do with Eivor, while the other changes how the game presents the trip.
If your finished character has been collecting dust, start with the replay requirements. If you are comparing consoles, keep the graphics upgrade separate from the gameplay additions. You do not need to turn a patch into a new hardware shopping list.

What your finished save unlocks
Ubisoft's Xbox Wire breakdown says New Game Plus becomes available after completing the Holy Day quest. Replays scale in difficulty, and the developer describes returning with an endgame character. That gives a built-up Eivor another campaign to tackle, rather than leaving that character parked after the story.
New Game Plus also changes familiar pickups. Carbon, Nickel and Tungsten wealth chests give Platinum instead. During New Game Plus, duplicate gear and already-owned Books of Knowledge award Mithril, a resource for upgrading divine gear. Ubisoft also lists Mithril in Niflheim and the Mastery and River Raid shops.
The useful distinction is progression versus repetition. Going back through the adventure is more appealing when the things you collect still have a job. Check what your build needs before treating every old reward as another item for the pile.
The stash deserves some attention too
Ravensthorpe now has storage for gear and runes. Gear levels rise from 13 to 27; optional Extended Progression Mode counts upgrades, runes and masteries toward power. The Rune Forge adds silver-funded upgrades to Superior tier and more than 300 engravable runes.
For a returning player, the sensible order is to sort the inventory first, then work out which upgrades fit the character you want to run. A larger ceiling is useful. Spending materials just because another upgrade button exists is less of a plan.
PS5 Pro gets the separate graphics upgrade
On PlayStation Blog, Ubisoft confirms the update for PS5 and PS5 Pro, with upgraded PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution reserved for Pro. Engineering Studio Manager Priscilla Nguyen says the implementation brings improved 4K image quality and Quality mode at 60 FPS on that console.
That is Ubisoft's technical description, not a Zypher performance test. It does not establish the same result on Xbox or standard PS5. It also does not mean Valhalla has received the base console's separate QSSR implementation. Our QSSR explainer covers why support needs to be checked game by game.
