The third-person Arizona Sunshine will launch on January 21, 2027. Vertigo Games announced the date on October 15 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, giving the series’ move to conventional screens a firm calendar target.
This entry follows Sunny and his dog Buddy through a zombie-infested Arizona. The official game site describes a third-person reimagining built around the story of Arizona Sunshine VR 2, making the camera and control format the important distinction when choosing which Arizona game to follow.
Two players, including one playable dog
The campaign can be played alone or with a second player through online co-op or local split-screen. Buddy is playable in multiplayer, offering a different role from simply joining the same journey as another gun-carrying survivor.
For a couch co-op session, local split-screen is the detail to keep in view. For an existing VR player, the useful comparison is how the third-person format changes the same setting and story material. The date announcement does not itself establish that every feature will behave identically across all four platforms.

Check the edition before planning an early start
Vertigo lists a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition. Deluxe includes the Legacy DLC Pack, Neon Wastelander Pack and Fred’s Fashion Pack, but the Legacy content is scheduled for a later release. It should not be counted as available on January 21 merely because it is included in an edition.
The publisher also lists 48-hour early access with Deluxe pre-orders. That is a separate access window from the January 21 general release. Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders are due to open later, according to the announcement; this article makes no claim about Zypher stock.
